Chobani Simply 100

Chobani Simply 100

As baking bloggers, we struggle with finding a balance between eating dessert and being healthy. We try to incorporate some exercise into our visits together, like hot yoga to detox after a New Year’s in Boise or a hike in Portland to counteract countless scoops of Salt & Straw ice cream. Sometimes though, our runs turn into Starbucks runs and we skip workouts completely… Oops!

SF Half Marathon
That one time we “ran” a half marathon… After eating popcorn and drinking wine the night before. Again, oops!!

It doesn’t take a total overhaul to become healthier though! A few little changes here and there can add up to some big changes overall. Maybe you had a New Years resolution to lose weight (don’t we all?). Try parking in the back of the parking lot to have a further walk into the stores, take the stairs instead of the elevator, go for a 5 minute walk around your neighborhood, do calf raises as you wait for the printer or you’re standing in the coffee line. Every little bit counts! Just take a look at all these ways to burn 100 calories:

If you’re putting in that extra work you’ll want to make sure you’re eating healthier too. We’re a big fan of snacking around here, and it’s so easy to reach for a cookie or a bag of chips when you get a craving. Instead of eating empty calories that just leave you more hungry than before, you want to look for snacks high in protein to fill you up. Chobani Simply 100 Crunch is one of those snacks and you can learn more here. With 10g of protein and only 100 calories (not to mention flavors like Strawberry Chocolate Truffle!) you’ll satisfy your sweet tooth and afternoon hunger without sabotaging all your hard work.

Here at LDB we had a few New Years resolutions too, especially since there is an LDB wedding happening this year! Stephanie is “sweating for the wedding” as they say and has been drinking Make Ahead Smoothies almost every morning. Kelly has been attempting to also “sweat for the wedding” and has been snacking on these Haystack Energy Bites.

Just remember, don’t forget to live because you’re so focused on being healthy and cut yourself some slack. If you go out drinking with the girls one night or eat too much chocolate on Valentine’s Day, don’t beat yourself up over it. It happens. Life is short, eat the cake! The next day, however, just swap out the candy bar for a Chobani Simply 100 and take a little longer walk. Getting healthy can be tasty and fun! Chobani wants to help you stay on track and has coupons available here.

So tell us, what were your resolutions? Are you keeping up with them?

-Steph & Kelly
